We recently completed the first commissioning brew on the 80HL 3 vessel brew-bloc we supplied to Williams Brothers Brewery in Alloa. This is the first single infusion traditional UK design mash tun we have incorporated into our brew-bloc platform and it performed perfectly!
This latest investment from Williams Brothers brewing will allow them to dramatically increase production and efficiency to meet ever increasing demand for their unique range of independent, craft beers.
Of the expansion plans, the brewery said “We have been brewing our wee hearts out on the original 2 vessel 60 hectolitre brewhouse we inherited when we took on the the old Forth Brewery site here in Kelliebank. It has been an absolute workhorse & served us extremely well for the past 15 years. This new 80 hectolitre, 3 vessel brew-block from SSV Limited should enhance our brewing capacity with increased brew length, shorter cycle times & better efficiencies. The addition of a 3rd whirlpool vessel should also see us get more aroma & flavour out of our late hop additions too which is going to be particularly useful for some new brews we have planned for this year….”
As you will see from the pictures, it was a tight fit getting it into the building but thanks to the ability to customise all aspects of the brew-bloc design we were able to ensure Williams Brothers were able to maximise the size of the brewhouse to suit their Site.
This latest investment follows the addition of 2 x 100hl, 2 x 150hl & 3 x 180hl DPVs that we delivered earlier in the year and a brand new canning line!
